ATV Tour through Maras, Moray, Salineras and Lakes

ITINERARY

The route below may change because of strikes, weather issues, and festivities. Choose below the best ATV itinerary for you

• Group tour in ATVs to Moray and Maras salt mines | Half-day tour

  • Pick up from your hotel at about 7am or 1pm — if applicable
  • Cusco to Cruzpata by bus: We will arrive at this small community (3,644 masl.) in about 50 minutes
  • In Cruzpata, our guide will give you a 15-minute training
  • Cruzpata to Moray by ATV — 1.5 hours approx.
  • Guided tour of the Inca archaeological complex of Moray for about 15 minutes
  • Moray to Cruzpata by ATV — 1.5 hours approx.
  • Cruzpata to Maras salt mines by vehicle, 45 minutes approx. — during this quick car ride you see the snow-capped peaks of Verónica and Chicón
  • Guided tour of Maras salt mines for about 15 minutes
  • Return from Maras salt mines to Cusco city by bus
  • You will be back in Cusco at about 1pm or 7pm, depending on your departure time from Cusco city
  • This tour ends two blocks away from the Plaza de Armas of Cusco

• Group tour in ATVs to the Huaypo lake and Maras salt mines | Half-day tour

1. • Pick up from your hotel at about 7am or 1pm — if applicable
   • Cusco to Cruzpata by bus: We will arrive at this small community (3,644 masl.) in about 50 minutes
   • In Cruzpata, our guide will give you a 15-minute training
   • Cruzpata to the Huaypo lake by ATV: This lake offers a unique natural beauty because of its flora, fauna and landscape
   • Huaypo lake to Maras salt mines by ATV and bus: Consider that we will only drive the ATVs until Tiobamba and then take the bus until we reach the Maras salt mines. Due to preservation issues of the salt mines, it’s not possible to access inside the mines; however, you will see the salt mines from a lookout point as all the visitors do
   • On this route, you will also see the snow-capped mountains of Verónica and Chicón
   • Return from Maras salt mines to Cusco city by bus
   • You will be back in Cusco at about 1pm or 7pm, depending on your departure time from Cusco city
   • This tour ends two blocks away from the Plaza de Armas of Cusco

• Group tour in ATVs: 2 Lakes + lookout point to 5 snow-capped Mountains | Half-day tour

  • Pick up from your hotel at about 7am or 1pm — if applicable
  • Cusco to Cruzpata by bus: We will arrive at this small community (3,644 masl.) in about 50 minutes
  • In Cruzpata, our guide will give you a 15-minute training
  • Cruzpata to the Huaypo lake by ATV
  • Huaypo lake to Piuray lake in ATVs: We will pass through the district of Chinchero
  • Piuray lake to lookout point of 5 snow-capped mountains
  • Return to Cusco city by bus
  • You will be back in Cusco at about 1pm or 7pm, depending on your departure time from Cusco city
  • This tour ends two blocks away from the Plaza de Armas of Cusco

• Group tour in ATVs to Maras, Moray, Piuray lake and Huaypo lake | Full day tour

  • Pick up from your hotel at about 7am — if applicable
  • Cusco to Cruzpata by bus: We will arrive at this small community (3,644 masl.) in about 50 minutes
  • In Cruzpata, our guide will give you a 15-minute training
  • Cruzpata to Maras salt mines by ATV and bus: Consider that we will only drive the ATVs until Tiobamba and then take the bus until we reach the Maras salt mines.   • We can end the private tour any where in the historic center, for example the Plaza de Armas, your hotel or Airbnb
